A cultural approach was selected which highlights the way in which the final form of a report and its interpretation is subject to cultural factors. The work draws on the Three Party Model of Communication Situations devised by Winfried Schulz, which models the mutual relationship between the three protagonists of an event - the main figures (representatives of extremist movements), journalists (mass media - Internet sites), and the audience (readership, recipients). Investigation of the possible interest of these three parties in information on extremism is considered on the basis of theories of critics of contemporary media. Závislosti jako negativní determinanta zdraví žáků na základních školách v Českobudějovicku
ŠUPLER, Josef
The aims of the thesis were to present a survey of the experience with addictive substances in the pupils of basic schools, a survey of the relation to behavioral, non-material addictions, as well as a survey of pupils´ attitudes to the consequences of addictive social pathological phenomena on their health. The aims were fulfilled on the basis of investigating the experience, attitudes and relations of the persons in question to addictions. The empirical part was based on the statistical survey and assessment of the data obtained from the questionnaires. Ten hypotheses were determined out of which two were confirmed and eight disproved. To process the results, quantitative research in the form of questionnaires was used. The questionnaires were anonymous and optional. Subsequently they were processed by matrix method and the results were trasformed into graphs and tables by mens of Microsoft Office Excel 2007 descriptional statistics. The testing of the hypotheses was carried out in the SPSS program at the level of significance of 95 % , by means of chi-quadrate statistics, in one case of correlation. The sample involved pupils of the eighth and ninth grades of basic schools. Three schools were located directly in České Budějovice and the other three were situated in larger village communities or townships. As small communities usually have just primary schools, we addressed basic schools in townships. The questionnaires were handed out personally and there were 250 of them. One school in České Budějovice finally refused to take part in the survey due to the lack of interest among the pupils. 173 questionnaires were filled in and returned for further processing, the rate of return thus being 69,2 %. We addressed six basic schools but only five of them participated in the survey.
